Winter Park Competition Practice Schedule
The following table is the practice schedule for the upcoming Winter Park Competition. Bring plenty of snacks and water. School dress code is required. PT gear should be worn for weekend practices.

Winter Park Competition
Cadets have another competition coming up on Saturday, February 18th at Winter Park High School. Cadets will arrive at the school on Friday with all of their competition gear (i.e. ship and shore bag, tackle box, and khaki uniform in the garment bag). They will stay overnight in the classroom and leave for competition in the morning. Times to be determined.

Winter Break
After all the hard work throughout the semester, it's time for a break to relax. Winter break begins on December 19. The last day of winter break is January 3 so cadets will return to school on Wednesday, January 4. Great job on a good first semester. Enjoy your break and be ready to get back in gear next semester!

Semester Exams
Semester exams are coming up soon so make sure you study hard. Exams will be spread out to 4 days of testing as follows:
Tuesday, Dec 13: 7th period
Wednesday, Dec 14: 1st and 2nd period
Thursday, Dec 15: 3rd and 4th period
Friday, Dec 16: 5th and 6th period

Winter Parade
Saturday, December 3rd the cadets will be participating in the winter parade. Cadets will be wearing their designated uniforms. Cadets are expected to meet at the Firehouse on Rebel Court at 1400. All cadets should attend. Sign up on the PAO board in the classroom.

Uniform Inspection
Tuesday, December 13th is a formal Uniform Inspection. Cadets should make sure their uniforms look sharp and clean for the inspection. E-4s and below wear summer blue and E-5s and above wear khaki uniforms.

PT Test
Monday, December 12th is the Physical Fitness Test. In order to pass the cadets must do a certain number of sit ups and push ups and a timed mile run. Make sure to check the chart in the orange book for your requirements to pass. Good luck cadets!

Christmas Tree Sales
Christmas tree sales begin Monday, November 28th and continue until all trees have been sold. Sales will be held Monday through Friday from 1630-1900. Cadets will wear their tan shirts.
(Sales may or may not extend past December 15th)

Christmas Tree Arrival
Tuesday, November 22nd the Christmas trees are arriving and cadets will be setting them up. Cadets will meet at the bus loop at 1430 in old clothing that you don't mind getting ruined by tree sap. Sign up on the PAO board if you plan to participate.

Saturday, November 19th the Color Guard and Honor Guard will be performing at the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club from 1730-1830. Participating cadets will wear their service dress uniforms.

Car Wash
Saturday, November 12th there will be two car washes simultaneously, one at Auto Zone and the other at the Boca Grande Firehouse. Both car washes start at 0800. Cadets going to the car wash at Boca Grande will meet at Publix at 0730. Cadets will wear their tan shirts. Sign up for the location on the PAO board in the classroom.

On Veteran's Day, November 11th the Color Guard and 5-Man Armed Exhibition Drill Team will be performing at the ALP 113 from 1000-1100. Color Guard will wear service dress and 5-Man will wear summer blue.

Tuesday, November 1st is the ROTC unit's picture day. All E-5s and above will wear their khaki uniforms and E-4s and below will be in the summer blue. Cadets will NOT wear their medals. Make sure your uniforms look sharp and clean for the pictures.

Football Parking
Friday, October 28th is the Homecoming football game. Cadets will be parking cars for the game. Color Guard and Honor Guard will wear their service dress uniforms. All other cadets will be in their designated uniforms to be announced during class. Cadets are expected to arrive at 1700 in the ROTC classroom. Sign up on the PAO Board in the classroom.

Mitchell Competition
Competition is on Saturday, October 22nd at Mitchell High School in New Port Richey. Cadets will arrive at the school in their summer blue uniform at 1700 on Friday for the football parking with all of their competition gear (i.e. ship and shore bag, tackle box, and khaki uniform in the garment bag). They will stay the night in the classroom and leave for competition around 0430-0500 in the morning.

Football Parking/Senior Night
Cadets will be parking cars on Friday, October 21st. This is also Senior Night so any senior who has a service dress will wear that to parking. All other cadets will wear summer blue (salt and pepper). Cadets will meet at 1700 in the ROTC classroom. ALL COMP MEMBERS should bring their competition gear to parking with them (i.e. ship and shore bag, tackle box, and khaki uniform IN THE GARMENT BAG). Competition members will not go home after parking. They will stay the night in the classroom and leave for competition the next morning.

PT Test
On Monday the 3rd, the cadets will be putting their training to the test, as they attempt to pass the quarterly Physical Fitness Test. In order to pass the cadets must do sit ups, push ups, and a mile run. A physical is manditory in order to pass.

Home Depot Spin/Color Gaurd
Our Armed Five Man drill team will be performing at the Golf Cove Home Depot, as well as our Color Gaurd which will be presenting colors. This event is on Saturday, October 1st. This is just a performance event and is not manditory for any other cadets.

Auto Zone Car Wash
On Saturday the 10th the cadets will be washing cars at both Regions Bank and Auto Zone. They will be meeting at the Auto Zone in Englewood, and the designated uniform is the ROTC tan shirt. This is a great fundraising event and all funds earned will used for the upcoming competition. The cadets should be no later than 0830.

Welcome Back Bash
Saturday the 17th we will be holding our annual welcome back bash. The cadets are expected to bring a guest, and dependent upon their grade level some sort of dish: Freshman bring side dishes, Sophomores bring desserts, Juniors bring main dishes, and Seniors bring utencils. This is a great opportunity for the parents to meet the other cadets and learn more about the instructors and the class. Cadets are supposed to wear their tan shirt, unless told otherwise.

Charlotte Stone Crabs Color Guard Performance
On Friday the 19th the cadets will be performing an eleven person color guard during the national anthem. Within the eleven person color guard the cadets will be paying tribute to all the service branches as well as the POW/MIA soldiers.

NS1 Orientation
NS1/Freshman Orientation begins August 1st and runs through the 5th, starting at 0900 (9:00 AM) and ending at 1300 (1:00 PM). This orientation session will give cadets a head start on basic marching skills and knowledge as well as give the cadets a chance to meet fellow cadets. We will be meeting in front of the Lemon Bay High cafeteria. Athletic attire is required (i.e. running shoes, shorts, t-shirt - no tank tops). We advise you bring sunscreen, water, and snacks (for the provided break time). We look forward to meeting you.

Summer Athletic Practices
The athletic team will be holding summer practices for returning cadets interested in joining the athletic team next year or cadets who would like to work out over summer. The practices will be meeting Mondays and Thursdays in front of the Lemon Bay cafeteria starting June 13th. Practices are from 0900-1030. Bring PT gear and water.
