A Great Start To An Amazing Year!
On Saturday, October 22nd, Lemon Bay High School NJROTC attended the Mitchell High School "Mustang Field Meet." After countless hours of preparing for this competition, they went in with their heads held high and great expectations. Competing in several Drill and Athletic events against 13 other highly competitive area 7 schools, Lemon Bay High School NJROTC was awarded:
• 1st place in Unarmed Basic Drill commanded by Cadet Chief Petty Officer Michael Busque.
• 1st place in Individual Drill by Cadet Petty Officer First Class Cameron Ruhl-McGinnis.
• 3rd place in Color Guard commanded by Cadet Chief Petty Officer Taylor Heimann.
• 3rd place in Personal Inspection.
• 3rd place in Overall Drill.
• 5th place in Armed Basic Drill commanded by Cadet Petty Officer First Class Kelsey Honeycutt.
The next competition Lemon Bay High School NJROTC will be attending is on January 21st at Tampa Tech in the Tampa Bay area. These are just the first steps in qualifying for State Competition and achieving NJROTC's highest recognition, the Distinguished Unit Award. Congratulations Lemon Bay on a job well done!
